Can HIV Be Contracted Through Unprotected Oral Sex?
Question: Hi,
i visited prostitutes several times over a period of 8 months (around 10 encounters) between XXXXXXX 2013 and sept 2013. But i have never gone to them afterwards. I used condoms always except twice for oral sex with a call girl. I did not have any symptoms that usually come with stds except for itching once. I recently read an article on HIV in a newspaper and m very very worried. Please guide me. M single and unmarried.

You had a wiser attitude.
As you had protected sex all times during vaginal sex your risk for HIV/STD is negligible. Unprotected oral sex carries a very low risk than vaginal and anal sex. So nothing much to worry.
At the same time, absence of symptoms do not assure that you are free from HIV/STD. HIV symptoms take 5-7 years to manifest if there is an infection whereas STD also can remain without symptoms.
As you are single and an eligible bachelor, it is better to undergo HIV test and STD panel and rule out the least possibility of these diseases.
