Can Methadone Be Taken Along With Subutex?
Question: I accidentally swallowed 8mg of subutex thinking it was my losartan. it was dark and we have many meds for my 89 year old mom. I take morphine and methadone for chronic pain. how long before i can continue my regular pain meds?

You should avoid taking either morphine or methadone with Subutex (Buprenorphine) as both can have additive CNS and respiratory defects with Subutex and the possibility of serious interaction is present. Based on the half life of subutex , at least 10 hours gap should be kept between starting your own pain medication.
