
Can Metoprolol Cause Dizziness?

Question: While in bed I often experience spinning room dizziness when I role over to a different position. I am on a regimen of metoprolol succinate (50 mg) for a-fib. Is this a normal side effect? of this medication?

Thank you, Dr. Shehu. I was concerned because the symptom was so strong that it seemed as though something was really wrong. Oddly, when I'm up and about, I don't experience dizziness at all. I'll give your suggestion a try. Thanks, again.
