Brief Answer:
It is essential to take plenty of green leafy vegetables in diet

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Constipation causes the patient to have hard pellet like stool which may cause abrasions on the inner side of the rectum and thereby bleeding. For that stool softeners need to be used. MiraLAX (Polyethylene Glycol) is an over the counter preparation that is effective in this regard. Lactulose is a prescription medication that is equally or more effective. You might ask your doctor to write it for you. I am not sure if TAM laxative is of the stool softener category. There is another category of laxatives that is called purgatives that increases the force for passing stool. It should not be taken as it could worsen the rectal bleeding. Please make sure whether TAM is from this category. The same holds for Intestinal Movement Formula. You can give it if it is does not act as a purgative. I did not find enough information to conclude on the same. Milk of magnesia would not help. Rather she needs to take plenty of green leafy vegetables which would provide the roughage for proper stool to form.

To alleviate constipation, she needs:
* Regular morning walk and exercise. That will enhance the intestinal movement and would thereby help her.
* Regular intake of green leafy vegetables.
* Fiber supplements like psyllium husk.

Hope that helps.

Regards
