Prolonged Rectal Bleeding Due To Hemorrhoids. Colonoscopy Result Normal. Possible Reason?

Hello, I've been having rectal bleeding now and then for the past 3 years. I had a colonoscopy and everything turned out to be OK. Just some hemorroids. The bleeding is sometimes really intense and colors all the water in the toilet red. I have NO other symptoms, none at all. Just the casual bleeding. I am a very heavy drinker but just do it on weekends, during the week I don't touch a drop of alcohol.
I know I should go to a doctor, but I had already gone through a colonoscopy with favorable results. Is it possible that I just have some nasty case of hemorroids? Or can it be something more serious. The blood is bright red with no dark or tarry stools, just regular blood like when you cut yourself. I repeat, there are no other symptoms whatsoever. Thanks!!

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
It is very nice to note that you have mentioned everything in your query.
The bright red ( fresh blood ) blood is from hemorrhoids and in my opinion need not to worry at all about any serious disease.
Fresh blood is very common due to hemorrhoids and for this you have to take treatment as early as possible.
Consult a surgeon and get his opinion.
As colonoscopy clearly reveals that nothing is abnormal in rectum , so don't worry.
Further if dark color of blood comes than , from rectum or large intestine.
Good luck.
