Can Nexpro Replace Sibelium To Treat Headache, Acidity And Dry Eyes?
A second opinion is awaited from your end on this issue.
Thanking You
it wont treat headache, take naxdom; check BP
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Nexpro RD is no substitute for sibelium for migraneous headache or for any type of headache. Whoever told you to do so must have been mistaken...
As currently you are not on any medicine- you have constant headache. It will be good if you get your blood pressure checked.
You may take naxdom 500mg or rizatryptan 10mg on SOS basis for headaches...
For regular treatment (which is recommended when there are more than 4 attacks in a month)- either go for dothipin / venalafaxine. Both of them have good results.
Nexapro would only curtail the gastritis associated with headache episodes.
P.S. -when the headache is not controlled by above drugs I usually recommend injection diclofenac 75mg with perinorm 5mg for relief.
Good luck.
Feel free to ask more questions for clarification.

1. My B.P checked four days back as also a fortnight back was normal.
2. Could the mentioned drugs in your reply be obtained over the Chemist counter without prescription or could I use the printout of your advice for the same?
3. For my knowledge could you answer whether the gastritis is causing the migrainous headaches or is it the other way round, so that I may change my routine diet/work schedule as this current problem has been for the last 15 years.
4. Is the dryness in my eyes (for past 4 to 5 years) a related issue to the above problem or is it an isolated one? I have been advised Tears Eye drops; 2 drops advised to increase to 4/6 drops.
Awaiting your reply.
Thanking You.
yes, you can get them otc; check triggers
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
1. Yes, can be available otc . Naxdom is a combination of domperidone & naproxen sodium; and another is rizatryptan.
2. It is migraine which leads to gastritis in most of the cases ..however, a persistent gastritis may also give you an attack of migraine. Migraine is a multi origin illness...even ceratin smells and foods can give a person a fresh attack..so does a choclate bar or juice glass!!...so, its always intellegent to keep a check on what triggers an attack in your case and avoid it .
Most common triggers are- smell/ choclate/ citrus fruits/ travel/ stress/ sun exposure / disturbed sleep,etc.
3. Dry eye is a separate condition. You should keep visiting your opthalmologist regularly.
Hope this helps you.
