Suggest Remedy For Constant Headaches, Joint Pain And Fatigue

I am staying with constant headaches. I wake up with them, and go to bed with them. I have joint pain thats worse in the morning, and subsides over the day but is still none the less there. I ve been on almost every pill under the sun. I can t find relief. I can t have NSAIDS or aspirin b/c Ive had lapband. I was put on muscle relaxers, b/c I was told my headaches were muscle tension headaches. They re not helping. Im seeing a chiropractor now for adjustments to help with my headaches. But I just started so I dont know how well it ll help if any. Im only 25 yrs old and at my wits end. I had blood test done last year and had positive ANA s in my blood. Went to a rheumatologist, he said it was fibromyalgia. I don t believe it, I believe it was the easiest to diagnose me with, I just dont know what else to do! and I mean Ive tried what seems to be EVERYTHING. Im absolutely miserable, have no social life, and b/c of these issues, they are making me depressed. Also, I have these very fatigue episodes that are like flare ups. Any help?

Hello,

Since you cannot take Ibuprofen and NSAIDs and at such a young age are experiencing joint pains you are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. You should take blood tests, urinalysis, imaging tests (CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, joint fluid test, CRP, anti-CCP, RF factor, etc) to detect OA, RA or Gout.

Avoid sedentary lifestyle do regular walking, do joint exercises under a Physical therapist. Exercises will reduce pain, include anti inflammatory food in your diet. Avoid addictions if any. Avoid high protein food. Headache occurs due to dehydration, excess exposure to sun, problems with vision, migraine, etc. You are suggested to stay well hydrated. Take food in time, avoid spicy oily junk food, wear sun glasses when out doors.

Get an eye check up done, you may need special glasses or lens if headache is due to vision problem. Get treated, you may need anti migraine medicines. Stay away from stress and anxiety. You can take acetaminophen, one SOS when needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
