Suggest Remedy For Headache

Since Feb 18th my mother has been suffering from a constant headache. It has gotten so bad that there are times she cant get out of bed. MRI s and CT s have shown nothing and all blood work has come back normal. Most recently she has developed spots on her face that look similar to burns from a curling iron. She has tried migraine medications and beta blockers and various pain medications. She has seen chiropractors, massage therapists and an accupuncture specialist. she has seen 6 different neurologists as well as Pain management doctors and has gotten no relieve.

Hello,

Your mother has been suffering from constant headaches. Her MRI and CT shows normal reports, all blood workouts are also normal. Your mother is suggested to stay away from tension, anxiety and stress (emotional and physical) at all cost. She should keep herself adequately hydrated with water and fluids, dehydration is a major cause of headache. She should avoid direct exposure to sunlight, should avoid strong smell of food, fumes or paint, etc. She should not skip meals, take quality sleep at night (7-8 hours).

She should stay away from addictions like alcohol, smoking, etc. She should get connected to a physical therapist for she needs a soothing head massage regularly at least twice a day. If she has sinusitis she should take steam inhalation on alternate days to feel better. One of the remedies to soothe headache is to apply sandalwood paste on forehead.

You can take half teaspoon of sandalwood powder and mix it with some water until you get a paste. Apply this paste on her forehead and let it sit for 20 minutes and then wash, she will feel better. Biting a small clove is also an effective way to keep certain headaches at bay. At times, replacing common salt with rock salt may prove to be a better pick for treating severe headaches. Sometimes headaches also occur due to acid reflux or formation of gas. She can take ranitidine or Digene gel. She can take migraine medications when needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
