Paracetamol can be used in the treatment of upper respiratory infection, especially if you have fever and body ache. If you have no fever, body ache, then it's role is less significant.

In addition to paracetamol, you should also consider throat lozenges, saline water gargles, steam inhalation and antihistamines. The treatment will be revised based on progress of this condition.
