Suggest Remedy For Loose Motion, Fever And Body Ache In Children
Doctor, my daugther is 14 years old. From yesterday, she is having loose motion/stool, slight fever and body ache. Have given her butter milk (to stop /reduce the loose stool effect), paracetamol for controlling the fever. Is that ok? What could be the issue with her based on the symptoms .. ?? Thank you.
Having loose stools is a fairly common as a symptom. Most importantly you should give ORS. So for every time she is passing a stool you can giver a glass of ORS that will help prevent dehydration. One more thing that you can do is give her a probiotic. Depending on your location the brands may vary: but you can ask your chemist to give a nice one. For egs: Capsule Vizylac can be given twice a day. With all this and a good light diet, she should be fine soon. In case it doesn’t get subside or it gets worse, you can revert back to me, or get in touch with your health care provider.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
