Can STD Be Contracted Through Unprotected Sex?
Question: I had unprotected sex about 33 days ago and fear that I have an STD. My scrotum has been red for about 10 days and know it has moved to the shaft of my pinus is a pale red color. I have a slight burning in my scrotum from time to time but I feel a slight burning/pin prick on my shaft that comes and goes.

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you had unprotected sex 3 weeks ago and has redness of the scrotum and shaft of the penis and suspecting to have acquired STD.
In absence of any of the predominant symptoms of STD like burning urination ,pus discharge from urethra ,difficulty in passing urine etc I can state with confidence that you do not have STD .
The redness of the scrotum and shaft of the penis that you have are due to allergic reaction to vaginal secretions of your female partner .
You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime and anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily .along with topical steroid ointment like Betnovate cream for local application twice daily.
Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily.
Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.
