Is Halobetasol Propionate Cream Safe To Use Under The Eye?

Dear Sir I have a dark area under my eyes . My dermatologist has prescribed me Halovate which is Halobetasol Propionate Cream 0.05%. W/w which I believe is a super potent steroid cream . Hi,

The cream is a steroid as you described and is used for treatment of skin conditions which are inflamed as in have become red and painful due to some reason. The dermatologist who has actually seen you may have his reasons for giving you the cream though if as you say its only darkening I would advice you against using it. You could instead drink lots of fluids, keep hydrated and improve your diet. It might take time but the condition will improve with these changes.
