Question: Hi, I was wondering if you could take a look at the pictures I have attached and giv me your opinion on them.

About 6 weeks ago I had unprotected and sex and since then I have had burning, itching and chaffing in the groin area and have been extremely stressed about the symptoms. Although the symptoms are not consistent I frequently experience them throughout the day. After the unprotected sex I had a ten panel std test done at 1.5 weeks and 6 weeks and everything was negative. Also I recently went to the doctor and he said that I had mild dermatitis where the pubic area and scrotum meet, but that does not explain the other itching.
For the info an pictures what is your thoughts on my conidtion.

Also one more question I have one picture where there are tiny white bumps on the upper shaft and the become red after sex (no Pain in them). What could these be?

Brief Answer:
Jock itch / dermatitis and fordyce spots. No worries. Hyiene maintenance

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. With a coitus unprotected 6 weeks ago and negative for all STD , Sexually transmitted diseases are ruled out. I have looked at yur pictures and they seem slightly irritated and red and not much. Jock itch or a dermatitis is the sole explanation for this itch. All you need is some topical hydrocortisone for that and abstinence from intimacy of all kinds for a while and a good coital and toilet habits and perfect hygiene. USe hypoallergenic hygiene gels and wash your genitals with it. Wear loose undergarments preferably of cotton. Remove the hair from your groin, that will help with the hygiene.

Tiny white bump, on the shaft of the penis getting red after coitus could be a friction burn or a clogged sebaceous pore. Penis is richly supplied in sebaceous glans which secrete a sweat called sebum, the pores some times get blocked and lead to such bumps. Good thing is these are benign, self resolve. Jut dont pop, poke or pick them.

Nutshell, slight hygiene modifications and some topical application of corticosteroid creams will do the job. No worries.

I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan

Any idea why the itch and irritation has persisted for so long? I have been practicing good hygiene and only had sex a couple times in the past six weeks. I may just be paranoid because these symptoms popped up around the same time as my unprotected sexual contact.
Thanks.
Also could you address the white spots on the upper shaft I have pictures please

Some times the itch persists longer. Common causes are jock itch and dermatitis. Inadequate treatment or recurrent triggers are the causes of delay. Application of topical corticosteroids and antifungal creams with good hygiene measures are needed. Your pictures provided indicate very slight redness proving that its near its recovery. As far as the white spots are concerned , i already mentioned that these are clogged sebum pores also called fordyce spots. Dont pop, poke or pick them. These self resolve.

I hope it helps.

Today I am experiencing more of a burning feeling in my scrotum. Is this a result of the same thing or a different condition

Brief Answer:
No worries

Detailed Answer:
Thank you gor getting back to me

Burning sensation in the scrotum is external could be connected to that. If inside scrotum is the feeling, then slight scrotal support will be enough . A tylenol will help. You are worrying too much,. All your labs are ok. STD has been ruled out. This sensation will fade away too. Just give it some time.

I hope it helps.
