Can Seroquel And Metformin Be Taken Together?
Question: I take 100mg seroquel/night for anxiety & insomnia following divorce stress. I have also been rx Metformin for insulin resistance. Will the XXXXXXX interract?
Brief Answer:
Both can be taken together
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM. I have gone through the question and understand your concerns.
Seroquel ( quitapine) can be taken along with Metformin. Only problem is the blood sugars can go up with Seroquel. So you have to monitor sugars and increase the dose of Metformin if sugars go up.
Hope I have answered your questions. If you have any further queries I will be happy to help you.

My A1C is 4.2 Insulin serum 21. Ive been rx met for insulin resistance. Do I have to worry about it causing me hypoglycemia?
Brief Answer:
Chance of hypoglycaemia is rare with Metformin
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
Your HbA1c is on lower side. Still Metformin won't cause much of hypoglycaemia. You can repeat your fasting insulin and fasting sugar to confirm you are insulin resistant. If not you can stop Metformin
