Can Seroquel Be Taken After A General Anesthesia?

Question: I take 100mg/night of seroquel for insomnia. I recently had a hysterectomy under general anesthsia . Is it ok for me to resume seroquel nightly immediately after surgery? My dr says yes but I was afraid may be dangeroys
Brief Answer:
Its safe to take it after the surgery.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Most of the drugs used for general anesthesia work for a short time. After 24 hours from its usage, this drugs are almost gone. So if it is 24 hours after the surgery, it is more than safe to use Seroquel. And even if it is not, most of the general anesthesia drugs (I do not know which were used) do not interact with Seroquel. So it is safe for you to resume the Seroquel.
Hope this helps.
Regards.
