Can Silverex Be Used For Painful Red Burns On The Face?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Hello, I got hot wax burns on my face. Immediately applied ice wrapped in cloth. There is some swelling now and burning and I feel it is drying up but want to know if I should apply some medicine. Chemist gave me silverex. Should I use that and how much? Hope the burn mark will peel off and go?
Brief answer....you would be all right soon as your burn seems to be very superficial only
Detailed answer....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and I assure you that no burn mark would be left because your burn seems to be superficial only.
You can apply either silverex or even NEOSPORIN skin ointment also.
Nothing to worry as everything should be all right soon.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck

Thank you. Usually how many days does it take for such marks to start peeling and go? I have a function to attend. Can I put concealer or foundation to cover the marks when needed?
Hello,
Such types of burn usually take around a week to become all right but may take upto 15-20 days in some cases. there is nothing to worry as the condition would resolve completely.
You can definitely use a concealer as per the need.

Hello doctor, the upper dark brown layer has peeled off and under skin is light pink. Should I continue applying the ointment? Also, I will be outdoors a lot for the next few days. Should I apply sunscreen on it? I am worried about this pink mark. Will this go? Will it get affected because of being outdoors? Please advise what should I do? Best regards.
Hello,
There is absolutely nothing to worry.
There is nothing to get worried about pink skin.
When new skin comes up,it is pink in colour and this takes up the colour of your surrounding skin gradually.
Keep applying ointment for few days more.
Use sunscreen whenever going outdoors.
Thanks

Hello doctor,
As I had mentioned, I was going to be out in the sun a lot. I think because of that the burn has got dark again. Please help. What should I do. I really hope these marks will go. Please advise.

Hello,
Avoid sun.If necessary to go out, then use sun protection generously.
Let nature heal it. It would be all right gradually.
No medicine in particular is to be used for this.
Wait and watch. Everything shall be all right.
Thanks

Thank you. Should I continue applying silverex? Or should I only use sun screen? Can I put concealer on top of sunscreen to hide the burn?
Hello,
No point using silverex now.
Apply coconut oil in night.
Use sun screen when going out.
Yes you can put concealer on its top.

Thank you once again. Sorry to bother you but two last questions-
- can I put face pack or face scrub once in a while?
- can I get facial done may be 2-3 weeks from now or do I have to wait until this is completely gone?
Best regards.
