Brief Answer:
You can take spasmo.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The stiffness and pain in the knee after removal of knee cap is a normal finding. The knee joint takes few months of regular exercise to regain the full range of movement.
The physiotherapy and exercises that you are doing are alright and these are expected to be painful due to the scar tissue formed after the surgery. You can take muscle relaxants like spasmo and do a hot fomentation to relieve the pain.
In case the pain is intense then you can ask your orthopedician to do a manipulation under anaesthesia to restore the complete range of movement. Regular exercise and physiotherapy are necessary in spite of the pain. There is no harm in taking the help of medicines.
I hope this answers your query.
