Can Susten Cause Delayed Periods?

Question: Hi, I am trying to conceive from past 1 year. this month my periods are 1 week late , the home pregnancy test is negative. My doctor has prescribed me Sustain 300mg gelatin capsule twice a day. Does this medicine has any impact on periods? does it delay periods?
yesterday I had some dry brown discharge instead of regular periods. Even today I have seen some blood drops but not like normal periods.
My doctor has asked me to continue with the medicine for 5 days more. Please suggest. I am really worried.

1) Susten does cause delayed periods. Brown discharge you had is likely to be your periods.

2) It is possible to have such small brown spots while on susten. You should stop susten now and wait for bleeding to increase and cause regular periods if you are not pregnant.

I will stop taking susten now. If normal bleeding starts then which day will be considered as first day of my cycle because I have to start treatment in coming cycle.

If you are not pregnant, yesterday is your first day when you had brown spotting. You cannot undergo treatment this cycle as the susten is still continued. This might affect results.

Can't it be implantation bleeding because its flow is not regular. It is on and off types. It is happening first time with me that's why I am unable to understand the reason.

Implantation bleeding occurs earlier and not so late. Thats why I would stop susten and wait. If you are pregnant , your pregnancy will continue and no periods seen.

Repeat pregnancy test after one week.

This is happening because of continued susten.
