Question : my mom (89 yrs old) just woke up with what appears to be a gurd like regurgitation that came up into her throat or mouth, she's not sure.she has a history or indigestion, but other than tums and gum no meds.what should she do to go back to sleep.any home remedies ?

Hello and welcome,
If she had reflux of acid or food into her throat, and if Tums has worked for her in the past, try some now. If you have Zantac (ranitidine) that is not expired, she can take that.
If she is having chest pain though, and isn't sure whether she had reflux into her throat, then she should be seen to make sure this isn't a heart attack.
What is it that is keeping her up right now?
