Can Wellbutrin And St. John's-wort Be Taken Together?
Question: I currently take 300 mg wellbutrin. Is it safe to add St John's Wort and/or 5-HTP and/or Sam-E to this regimen?

I would not recommend adding St. John's Wort as it has major effects on metabolism of medications. 5-HTP does not have robust evidence of being effective and should only be used with Wellbutrin under a doctor's supervision. SAMe is worth considering but again should be discussed with your prescribing doctor.
