Brief Answer:
HIDA scan is less sensitive.PET or CT scan abdomen is advisable.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I understand your concern.

HIDA scan is less sensitive for detecting gallbladder cancer. In fact, it is never used for this purpose.

The indication for HIDA scan is to evaluate acute infection of the gallbladder.

CT scan or at least ultrasound of the abdomen can detect gallbladder or liver cancer.

In your case, a PET scan total body seem to be a reliable option for detecting any relapse of cancer of NHL of the mediastinum elsewhere in the body.

Hence, you should seek for the same after consulting your doctor.

However, even RCHOP and radiation are known to cause nausea, pain abdomen and gallbladder inflammation as post radio and chemotherapy sequel.

Post your further queries if any.

Thank you.
