Can A Brain MRI Be Conducted When An Eardrum Is Ruptured?
Question: Hi
I was unlucky enough to have my 2 year old stick a plastic bracelet into my ear and rupture my eardrum. I was seen by an urgent care doctor who said it's a small spot of blood on many 15% of the tympanic membrane and gave me antibiotics and told me to come back Tuesday. That is all fine, but I am scheduled to have an MRI on my brain in 2 hours for another separate condition. My question is, can I do the MRI safely without complicating the eardrum issue?
