Hi, Noted the history about your Mother having perforation of tympanic membrane and you would like to see Dr Alan Andrade for evaluation and possibility for surgery for ear drum. You can certainly ask your Primary Doctor for a reference to Dr Alan. Important is whether there is pus flowing, hearing loss or not, any nose and sinus related problem and proper investigations. I would advise her the following: Audiometry. CT scan of Mastoid sinuses. Relevant investigations of blood and urine. Fitness for surgery. Any medical problems like diabetes and hypertension, medications and its rectification. All these will decide for a proper diagnosis as a whole and guide for what sort of surgery is required.
