Can A Pelvic Ultrasound Help To Confirm An Ovarian Cancer?
Question: will a pelvic ultrasound rule out ovarian cancer?
Brief Answer:
Only ultrasound scan cannot rule out.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
A pelvic ultrasound cannot completely rule out an ovarian cancer. This needs an MRI scan to detect any ovarian masses or lymph node enlargement followed by Serum CA-125 estimation. In case any mass is detected then FNAC or biopsy will help in ruling out the malignancy completely.
