Can Bulimia Cause Aneurysm?
Brief Answer:
Yes, can cause aneurysms.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
Bullimia is characterized by forceful wretching and vomiting. This can definitely lead to rupture of blood vessels. Aneurysms can indeed occur due to repeated episodes of wretching.
It would be a great idea if you could stop trying to throw up. That will do more harm than good. Body image is subjective. Besides, there are other ways to look beautiful to your ownself.

ah - thank you for your answer. I stopped throwing up 6 years ago, but I still get those broken blood vessels around my eyes.
So my questions is more whether I will always be more at risk for an aneurysm due to my history, or if my blood vessels will heal and get stronger?
For example should I stay away from activities like yoga where you have to do headstands and there might be lots of pressure on blood vessels?

Brief Answer:
Avoid certain yoga postures, not others.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.
It is good to hear that you have stopped throwing up long back. I need to know the details about what makes you think that there are broken blood vessels in your eye. I need to know the exact clinical presentation that you are getting. Based on that I would guide you further.
I do not find any reason for which you must stay away from activities like yoga. However, avoid the yoga positions that cause you to overstress or cause pressure build up over your head/eyes.
