On And Off Bulimia, Feeling Only On Trigger, Burning Throat, Vomiting With Bright Cloudy Red Chunks Of Food. How Can I Detect Whether It Is Bulimia?
My bulimia is on and off because I only do it when I am triggered. This can be everyday thing or once a month. It truly depends. I want to know if that is really bulimia and how to tell if there is blood in your vomit . My throat burns a bit more than usual and my vomit was a bright cloudy red with chunks of food in it. Thank you for your help.
In Bulimia patient may have symptoms episodically due to triggers. In that case it is better to prevent triggering events.
Currently in my view you should meet your physician as soon as possible as current problem may be related to complication of bulimia (blood in vomit due to abdominal mucosal tear). You may also need some investigations and concurrent psychiatrist consultation. Lab test on vomitus can be done to rule out presence of blood in it.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
Wish you Good Health.
Regards,
Dr. Ashish Mittal
