Brief Answer: No,it wont cause fluid under retina. Detailed Answer: Hello there, Nice to meet you here, Drinking too much water won’t cause fluid retention under retina. I came to know that you have hypertension, from your medical history. Long standing hypertension (high blood pressure) increases the hydrostatic pressure within capillaries of retina, which drives fluid out of the vessels causing fluid retention under retina. Other most common cause of fluid retention under retina is diabetes, so I also need you to check over your hb1ac [glycated haemoglobin] level to know your diabetics status. Hope helped you,Take care.
