Question: What chances of herpes 1 time protect sex w/ unknown partner. 24 day later i have bump at base of penis. told it doesnt look look herpes by dr on here w/ pic

I have published about 2 dozen articles on herpes. Cannot say without seeing it. but it certainly could be and unless it is either long lasting and solid (not herpes) or if a blister (herpes) then it is hard to say. If it comes around multiple times then it is herpes.

I picked at it and nothing came out only a very small amount of blood. Only one bump. Not painful at all. Im extremely anxious and im afraid i've worked myself up so i cant sleep. Its at the base of my penis on the top .

it helps to be able to see it to be able to give the best answer.

if it is a small skin infection it takes much longer than the 4 to u days it takes for a herpes infection to run its course and that will be a pretty good indicator
