For several weeks I have had an itchy burning left ear. Also have had grainy feeling earwax. Some cross contamination into right ear with q-tip. Left ear is getting worse. The Dr. did not see any infection when I went yesterday nor did she see any earwax at that time. Could it be some kind of skin infection in my ear. It even hurts to use phone because the ear is sensitive. Hearing is fine though
You have a grainy feeling like earwax in the ear canal. Now you are experiencing itching and burning. Get clinically examined by an ENT, if wax is detected, you can apply Otorex ear drop 2-3 drops in the affected ear so that the wax gets melted and flows out of the ear. You may need to get done ear wash by an ENT in his clinic.
If the symptoms are not due to ear wax, it may be due to skin allergy, contact dermatitis, psoriasis, etc. You can take a course of non-sedating antihistamine for relieve. You may need anti fungal/antibiotics so get clinically examined by an ENT. You will be treated accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
