Question: I have swollen eyelids. Can my hypothyroidism be the cause of this? I was given medication for this about 4 days ago.

Can you pleas upload an image of your eyelids for review. It is true that hypothyroidism causes fluid retention and might explain this. However, i will like to review an image to make sure that the nature of the swelling might not be explained by some other disease condition.

There is no other immediate evident cause. I will strongly lean towards the low functioning thyroid. As you take the drugs, monitor this and keep me posted about your progress.
