Can I Take Multaq Along With Benadryl?

Question: I take multaq 400 mg twice daily . I have some symptoms that are consistent with allergy. Is it safe to take Benadryl ?

Hi,

There are no known interactions between benadryl and multaq. However benadryl contains antihistamines. Antihistamine agents can raise heart rate which might trigger arrhythmia. So unless and until I am very sure you indeed have allergic manifestation, I will refrain from using benadryl
