Can Intussusception Cause Abdominal Pain And Stomachache?

Question: My wife goes thru these spells of horrific pain in her abdomen, stomach, intestines after eating certain foods. I watched a medical show and there was a woman on there that had the same symtoms for years as my wife has. After her going thru this for many years a doctor finally came up with what was wrong with her. They had a name for it but I think I wrote it down wrong. I wrote down entrusseption It had something to do with the small intestines digging into the large intestines at certain time. Can you tell me anything about this condition?

Yes that's just what I mean. I had the spelling all wrong. What exactly is it and how can it be cured? I fell so bad watching my wife go thru this all the time

Any scan done to confirm the diagnosis of intussusception ?
Does she pass blood in stool?
What did her doctor say about the possible cause of intussusception?
