Question: If a rotator cuff tear is left untreated would it be easier to do more damage to your shoulder? I tore my rotator cuff and I had p.t. medicine rest and a cortisone shot.it wasfine for three months and started hurting again I've been doing p.t. now for 7 weeks icing pain pills and rest. Now the ldt three days its worse than ever.

Rotator cuff if left untreated can cause shoulder stiffness and arthritis. You wouldn't be able to ever lift weights of preform overhead activities.
