Question: I am still exhsusted afterbhabing a quadruple Cabg in July 2014. Postbop i had resp failure due yo congenital cardiac defects sndbjad to have an occluder placed as I was shuntng intracardisc after the repair was able to be extubated but suffered a mid cerebral artery stroke. Left weskness and neglect sling witj left hemianopia. I also have frequent headaches. Thank Hod i do not have angina.

There is significant increased risk of developing ischemic stroke in patients with congenital heart disease, because of embolism.

You should control continuously your blood pressure, blood lipids levels.

You should also be anticoagulated for the rest of your life for both CABG and ischemic stroke.

Neurological deficits left after first stroke should be treated with physical therapy and rehabilitation.

All these issues should be discussed with your primary care Doctor.
