Yes, constant coughing can be due to whooping cough.
But better to get done thorough evaluation to diagnose the cause of constant coughing.
Other than whooping cough, possible causes are bronchitis, lung infection, lung cancer, allergic disease etc.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system.
2. Chest x ray
3. PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
All these are needed for the diagnosis of your constant coughing.

1. Do you smoke?
2. Do you have expectoration?
3. What other symptoms you have? Like fever, chest pain, hemoptysis (blood in sputum)?
