Can Physical Exertion Cause Chest Pain?
Question: I was doing an intense cardio work out class that lasted an hour long and my average heart rate in that class was 88%. a couple times when I got to 89-92% my left side of my chest started to hurt. nothing crazy or actually painful. I would rate it a 2 MAYBE 3 on a 1-10 scale. I'm 29 years old and no one on my family has had an early heart attack. I was just wanting to know is this mild pain from exertion or is it something I should be worried about? Once it went back down it went away. I didn't know if it was for pushing myself for a while in a high range or what.
Brief Answer:
Nothing to worry about
Detailed Answer:
Hello
After going through the medical details provided by you i would like to tell you that you are a healthy guy, not everyone is capable of doing one hour long intense workout.
Your pain is not heart related, its more of a muscle ache that is common during long intense workouts.
I would like to suggest you to give rest to your body for atleast 2 days in a week so as to allow your muscles to heal and take good protein rich diet.
I hope this information will relieve your worries. If you have any other doubts you can ask me back or else you can close the discussion and leave your feedback.
Kind Regards
