Can Smoke Inhalation Cause Cough And Dizziness?
It looks like allergy getting worse by smoke.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,
Thanks for posting your query on HCM.
Your symptoms appear to be a result of allergy. Though as per your description, you have never had any allergy issues so far, but one can develop allergy anytime during life. Esp as one advances in age, it becomes more likely.
If you are inhaling lots of smoke by burning of incence sticks, yes your symptoms can be triggered off or aggravated by the smoke. Prolonged inhalation of any smoke can damage vital organs and may even be carcinogenic.
You should consult your PCP as you say you are having greenish sputum. You may require to have a chest xray and routine blood tests. If there is infection you may need antibiotics hence consult your PCP.
For now continue with monteleukast and levo cetirizine and use symbicort inhaler or advair diskus regularly. Avoid smoke as much as possible.
Take care.
