Posted on Mon, 12 May 2014
Question: I have a stimulator implant for urinary incontinence--also take mybrtrig--appears to help but still can have accidents. The past couple years I have developed fecal incontinence as well - not frequently but appears to be increasing . Have also had back surgery for spinal stenosis -bil.semi-hemi laminectomies--2 levels. That Dr. felt it might help with my incontinence problems but has not. Advice as to next step---am 71 years of age. Thank you

Brief Answer: Need further investigation Detailed Answer: Hi, Thanks for your question. If your surgeon felt that your fecal and urinary incontinence were due to your spinal stenosis and they are worse following your surgery then the 1st thing you would want to check out is that the surgery adequately decompressed the spinal cord and nerves in your back by getting a further MRI scan. I hope this helps answer your question. Best wishes
