Brief Answer:
Statin is most likely
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Your statin drug for cholesterol is the most likely one to cause your symptoms. It is called tinnitus and sometimes can be reversed by taking the supplement CoQ10. I suggest that you try using CoQ10 supplement 200 mg twice a day for one month and see if the symptom resolves. If it does not then the statin may need to be changed to a different medication.

THANKYOU FOR YOUR REPLY. I AM TRYING THE COQ10 WITH THE STATIN
DRUG.
WOULD YOU RULE OUT A BRAIN TUMOR WITH THIS NOISE IN THE HEAD PROBLEM? THERE IS NO HEAD TUMOR HISTORY IN MY GENETIC FAMILY THAT I KNOW OF.
THANKYOU AGAIN FOR YOUR ADVICE.... XXXXXXX CRAMOND

Brief Answer:
unlikey
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
You can't rule out a brain tumor but it is unlikely. That sensation is not usually associated with a brain tumor. If it does not go away with the CoQ10 or getting rid of the statin then your doctor may want to do an MRI of your brain. That would be the only way to completely rule out a brain tumor.
