Question: I m using levera xr 500mg one tablet bedtime.....i m 25yrs old....no side effects....
Can i continue d tablet during pregnancy n breastfeeding?
Any side effects to fetus at this dose?

Levera XR belongs to Cat D drug which implies that there is risk of minor fetal structural abnormalities due to passage of the drug to the fetus.

This drug is also known to be secreted in the breast milk and cause damage to newborn metabolic systems.

However the risks as mentioned above are quite minimal/inconclusive in humans so far.

But to be on safer on a safer note its better to avoid the drug during pregnancy and lactation after consulting your doctor.
