Child Has Fever, Sore Throat. Rapid Stress Test Negative. Red Rashes Appeared Around Anus And Penis

Question: My son has had a fever, sore throat, congestion and "goopy" nose and cough.Took him to doctor yesterday, they did a rapid strep test that came up negative. This morning he has a painful red rash around anus and a red bump on the tip of his penis, what is going on. Doctor is already closed for the day.

From the points you mentioned your son is likely to suffering from Upper Respiratory tract infection mostly of viral nature because strep has been ruled out.

Would like to know a few things:

Is your son on any medication ?
Is your son having diarrhoea?
Is urination getting difficult,any burning?
Has the rash occurred suddenly?
Has it increased in size or spread to other areas?
Does it look like hives ?
Is defecation difficult?
