Question: hI my name is XXXXXXX..my son XXXXXXX is four and has a bump over his left chest..i noticed the bump on his chest since he was 6 months..doctors says he will grow out of it but it seems it grows bigger every year.I don't know what it is..need answers please
Hello XXXXXXX,
Thanks for posting your query,
This bump over left chest of your son seems to be lipoma/ subcutaneous fibroma.
These are basically knots of fibrous or mysenchymal tissue.
This does not cause any harm and you have not to worry about that.
This is just a developmental anomaly and it does not need removal unless you wish for it due to cosmetic purposes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have more concerns.
Regards.
