Child Having High Temperature. Has Stomach Pain, Shivering And Green Diarrhoea. Suggest The Remedy?
Give Tylenol and ORS, do tepid sponging.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.
Fever, stomach pain, and green diarrhea all are suggestive of gastroenteritis which is infection of his stomach and intestines by a virus or bacteria.
Stool tests such as routine & microscopic examination and culture and sensitivity will help to know the type of infection and will guide in treatment.
Shivering is associated with high grade fever.
For fever, I suggest you to give Tylenol (paracetamol) in prescribed dose every 6th or 8th hourly depending on the presence of fever. And if there is high grade fever, do tepid sponging of his whole body with lukewarm water after giving Tylenol.
Maintain his hydration by giving him plenty of oral rehydration solutions (ORS) such as Pedialyte and monitor his hydration status by his urine output, thirst, and skin turgor.
And consult his pediatrician for clinical assessment of his general condition and hydration status and to advice specific treatment.
Hope I have answered your query, if you have any clarification please let me know.
Regards.
