Dark Painful Blister Near Rectum, Tender. Herpes?
Could you let me know a few more details?
1. Since how long have these blisters been present?
2. Any associated fever?
3. Do you indulge in anal intercourse?
4. Any bloody or mucus discharge?
5. Has he suffered from herpes in the past?
Painful blister near rectum could be herpes infection. The blisters usually burst and leak clear fluid before healing in 2-3 weeks time.
It could also mimic a hemorrhoid or a fissure.
My suggestion would be for your husband to visit a doctor who would examine him to determine the diagnosis.
If it is Herpes the following is usually recommended:
Always use condoms even for oral sex, as the sexual partner might inadvertently get it.
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (Ibuprofen) are usually used to treat symptoms of pain.
Anti-viral creams or oral medication are required and need to be taken under the treating doctor's advice.
Place lukewarm or cool cloths on sore place or places
Keep area dry and clean, wear loose fitting clothing and cotton underwear
Kindly get your husband check to rule out any fissure or hemorrhoids as well.
Hope I have answered your query
