Delayed Periods. Is There A Possibility Of Pregnancy? If Pregnant, What Is The Right Time For Abortion?

My wife's menstruation is getting delayed. Her normal cycle to start menstruation is around 1st of every month, but this time its 3rd but still she did not get her menstruation. We had some intercourse with and without protection between 5th Oct to 19th Oct (last month), but spam was not released inside.
We have not done any pregnancy test yet. As she is not with me at this moment and having some constraints to do this considering where she is now. But she is suppose to come to my place after 10-12 days. Please advice on below questions:
1. Is there a possibility that she is pregnant?
2. If yes what are the ways to stop it (considering we had a cesarean child this April)?
3. It would be very good if we can get a solution with having any medicine (If that is safe considering future pregnancy effects)?
4. Till what time of pregnancy we can do abortion by pills & clinical abortion both?
5. If there is a way to stop it by medicine, considering she will come to my place around 11/16/2013 or 11/17/2013, can we go for the medicine solution?
6. Being an expert, anything else you would like to advice us?
Thanks in advance for your advice.
please refer my answer
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thank you for choosing XXXXXXX I have analyzed your query carefully,
1. Is there a possibility that she is pregnant? Yes, but for confirmation I usually advise to do urine pregnancy test after missing period for atleast 1 week.
2. If yes what are the ways to stop it (considering we had a cesarean child this April)? Now we cant stop, because the pregnancy would have happened,, no use of taking emergency pills now( because it needs to be taken within 72hours of unprotected intercourse).
3. It would be very good if we can get a solution with having any medicine (If that is safe considering future pregnancy effects)? You need to wait for 1 week, then if the UPT is positive ---next step will be confirming the location of pregnancy (rule out ectopic pregnancy). No doctor will prescribe abortion pills without locating the pregnancy.
4. Till what time of pregnancy we can do abortion by pills & clinical abortion both? Till 9 weeks the success rate of medical abortion using pills is very high.(some doctors do upto 11 weeks also)
5. If there is a way to stop it by medicine, considering she will come to my
place around 11/16/2013 or 11/17/2013, can we go for the medicine solution? NO
6. Being an expert, anything else you would like to advice us? My advise is to wait and see if she gets her periods, if she is breast feeding sometimes that can itself act as a contraception, but once the doubt is cleared kindly opt for a contraception. I advise to go for copper T, if you dont want that I can advise you different one.

3. To locate pregnancy, we need to do USG?
4. Till 9 weeks by pills or clinical? If by pills any advice on pills name?
5. Also from when 9 weeks would be calculated (considering her last mestruation was on 01/10 to 04/10)?
5. Can you please give some idea about copper T &/or any substitude? Also what would be good?
Kindly refer my answers.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
I apologize for the late response; I was away from my computer due to unavoidable reasons.
Coming back to your questions,
3. To locate pregnancy, we need to do USG? Scan to be done only if pregnancy test comes positive.
4. Till 9 weeks by pills or clinical? If by pills any advice on pills name? By pills, Mifepristone followed by misoprostol.
5. Also from when 9 weeks would be calculated (considering her last mestruation was on 01/10 to 04/10)? Last menstrual period will be from 1st of October.
5. Can you please give some idea about copper T &/or any substitude? Also what would be good? ...Copper T is put as an OPD procedure, it is a very good contraceptive method with failure rate of 0.8%, so its very effective method. Only few patients have complications with it like infection, increased bleeding or perforation. As it already 5 months post partum combined low dose OC pills can be given, but it is contraindicated if the person is overweight/ hypertension or diabetes.
