Suggest Remedy For Extended Bleeding After Abortion And Copper Iud Insertion
Hi, I am still bleeding more than a month after my medical abortion and i m wondering if this is normal? it is still going strong. i had a copper iud put in during the time of my abortion and think this may be the cause of the constant bleeding because i wasnt healed and just put a device in. Please help

Bleeding for prolonged periods post abortion is common. As you have rightly guessed, another reason of bleeding might be copper IUD but not because it was inserted at the time of abortion. IUD inserted at any time can cause bleeding as a side effect. Hence, it's normal to have bleeding now.
To take balanced food rich in Iron. Iron supplementation can be taken to prevent Anemia due to blood loss. If bleeding continues even after 10 more days, you may need to consult a gynecologist for further evaluation.
