Dimple On The Back Of The Knee. Causes?

It is on the back of the left knee. Next to it is what looks like muscle that is raised.
Thanks for posting your query.
A dimple on the back of knee with no other symptoms is usually due to a localized fibrous band or due to cellulite deposition in the area. Sudden fat loss with uneven contraction of skin can also cause such changes.
Most of the cases show improvement on massaging ground coffee beans on the area. If the dimples are persistent, then physical examination is needed to find out the cause.
I hope this gives you some guidance, but I would tell you at this point just to be patient and wait to see if it resolves on its own by just massaging.
I hope this answers your query effectively.
