They may do so to some degree but not the best choice for anxiety.

Welcome Back to HCM: Please note that these two medications will treat anxiety, they may take the edge off, but they do not treat anxiety and I would not prescribe them for that purpose, Lorazepam which you have tried would be the go to drug for anxiety.
