Do Dreams Occur Only While Sleeping?
Dreams happen mostly during REM.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Dreams happen involuntarily mostly during the rapid eye movement (REM) phase of sleep.
So if you dream you are sleeping.
During the REM phase of sleep brain activity is very similar to awake brain activity, that's why certain dreams seem to be real and the dreamer finds a difficulty in differentiating reality from dream.
But don't worry, this has nothing to do with any disease, it is a normal thing that happens to most of people.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
You are getting deep sleep.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for asking back.
There are two patterns of sleep during the night, Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep and Non-Rapid Eye Movement (NREM or deep sleep).
These two patterns alternate during the sleep about four times during the night and REM lasts from 5 to 50-60 minutes the rest is NREM ( or deep sleep).
So if you sleep three hours at least two hours are deep sleep.
Hope I've been understandable.
Best regards.
