Do Saline Breast Implants Cause Sjogrens Disease?
Question: Have you noticed that many patients with Sjogrens developed it or have it due to saline breast implants? My symptoms and diagnosis occurred after my surgery. I was extremely healthy and active until then. Also, have you discovered that implant removal reversed the symptoms and diagnosis in any of your patients?

yes I would say that to some extent autoimmune conditions may flare or develop new onset after the patient receives a breast implant.
This has especially been noted with scleroderma.
However there is no way to predict whether the symptoms would regress after removal of such implants because the autoimmune process has already been initiated .
Medication will have to be taken and appropriate therapies used.
